A Miracle A Day, Day 97

telescope.cc.2461355915_755e9708eb_mA TELESCOPE houses a set of lenses that allow us to see over a great distance.  As I look through my telescope I can see the eagles nesting in the cellular tower ½ mile away.  They are just tiny specs, almost imperceptible to my physical eyes, but focusing this set of lenses I can see them as they build their nest, raise their young and then fly off to distant places. Through these lenses I can see the stars, satellites passing by, and the craters of the moon.  I can see things that are always there but too far away to see.  Did you know that we each have a telescope within us?  There are lenses we see through that can be focused to see more clearly.  We call this perspective and we can choose a new perspective any time.  We can also widen the lens to include other perspectives, gaining a greater view. We also have within us the ability to see the invisible.  Some call this faculty the third eye. Some call it clairvoyance.  The Hebrew Scriptures called those who could see the invisible prophets.  This inner telescope does not need to stretch out to see more clearly.  Rather, we simply need to allow the physical eyes to grow dim, to see through them less and behold instead the vision within us.  Seeing through spiritual eyes is like viewing a holograph that takes shape in our very midst.  The holograph is malleable, formable and greatly responsive to Light.  As I view the holographic image of myself and the world around me I see more clearly.  Judgment transforms to discernment.  Heaviness transforms to movement. Shadows become illuminated. Telescopes are miraculous devices and the telescope in me is miraculously and wondrously made.

future.cc.9683205509_f23e35ca06_mThe FUTURE I hold in my mind is a miracle. Through the ability to experience sequence, I can perceive what is yet to be.  Through the power of Imagination, I can direct my thoughts and creative energies toward a FUTURE I find desirable.  The image I hold is one in which all beings are awakened to their Divinity; all beings are awakened to their self-worth.  Awakened in this way, I see all beings beholding the sacredness of one another.  In this FUTURE no one is left out.  No one is excluded, and no one would even consider harming another.  Each person thrives in an occupation that feeds them as much spiritually and emotionally as it does physically and financially.  Everyone listens, everyone speaks with love and kindness.  Everyone honors and respects the ideas, views and needs of one another. In this FUTURE, compassion and understanding are the foundation of all activity.  This is a FUTURE that is a miracle, and the even greater miracle is that it is achievable.  With God, with the power and gifts already bestowed upon us as the image and likeness of God, ALL things are possible.

A Miracle A Day, Day 82

idea.cc.7650740066_bb5e4ea62b_qIDEAS spark possibilities.  They are a miracle of the mind.  IDEAS, like dreams, access the power of imagination.  IDEAS are constantly connecting us to the divine and bringing the future into the present moment.  An IDEA is a thought that sparks a new way of being or a new way of doing something.  For an IDEA to take hold it is vital that the old way of doing, thinking or being is released.  Without that act of release, the IDEA has no room to peak through or take form. IDEAS are miracles continuously popping into our minds, inspiring us to create something greater than the current experience. God once had an IDEA.  It was an IDEA of a world in perfect balance, populated with spiritual beings that would have creative IDEAS themselves, IDEAS that would be fruitful and multiply.   Open the space for a new IDEA.  Honor the new IDEA of another.  Work together to try new IDEAS and begin to manifest an entirely new way of being.  Right now, this very moment, someone has a better IDEA of how the world can become a thriving, fruitful place that works for all.  Perhaps, we can join together and release the way things have always been to make room for the Divine IDEAS that will carry us to the next phase of spiritual evolution.

A Miracle A Day, Day 75

Dreams Road Sign

DREAMS are the resulting miracle of the power of Imagination.  What can compare with the human capacity to DREAM?  In our waking moments we DREAM of what has not yet come into being and focusing our thoughts and energies on them we often bring them into manifestation.  Our sleep is punctuated with DREAMS that release the energies of the day, work out the problems parading through our minds, and inspire us with higher realms of thought.  It seems the capacity to DREAM, whether they are lucid or merely a foggy image, is the power that moves us ever forward on our spiritual path.  Joseph, the favored son of Jacob, was the dreamer.  Through his DREAMS he warned Egypt of drought and famine.  Through is DREAMS he lifted himself from prison and reunited the tribes of Israel.  Through our DREAMS, we too escape perceived bondage, drought and famine.  Through the power to DREAM and activate the power of Imagination we too reunite the tribes of Israel which are our spiritual powers.  Reunited, awakened in Spirit, we enter the promised land bringing that which we only DREAM of into the manifest world.

GLITTER, that sparkly collection of shiny confetti that brings laughter and squeals from children of all ages is a miracle to behold.  As an adult, I know the drawbacks of glitter.  It’s hard to clean off tables and floors.  It does a number on vacuums and tries the patience of teachers and classroom volunteers.  I know the reasons why we limit its use and I cannot help but agree. But what a wonder to behold when the conditions are right.  It is a glorious substance whether glued to a hand-made greeting card, stuffed as a surprise in an envelope, sprinkled in the hair of a beautiful teen or floating through the air like shining particles of Light and wonder.  The tiniest of mirrors and radiant prismatic colors dance through the air reflecting and refracting all that is there.  Perhaps the joy that is brought forth from this dance is not in the plastic or metal that scatters about.  Perhaps the brightness they bring is the reflection they see.  So small and so tiny perhaps what they see is the tiniest of particles and waves of pure Light that vibrate so fast they can’t be seen by our eyes.  Perhaps they are openings to the space in between.  GLITTER is magic and a miracle to see.

A Miracle A Day, Day 60

Blue Sky Day

CLOUDS are a miraculous element of the wondrous ecosystem of planet Earth.  They hold moisture and return it to the planet nurturing plant life, refilling bodies of water and providing a welcome bit of shade when the sun is especially bright.  CLOUDS provide a vehicle for the imagination to stretch and expand. As a child a favorite summer pastime was to lay on a blanket and watch the clouds, picking out the forms of giraffes, ice cream cones and Mickey Mouse.  As they gently floated by, a metamorphous took place.  What started as an ice cream cone gently transformed into a helicopter.  Altered by the wind, the CLOUDS were an ever-changing source of beauty and delight.  I am grateful for these breathtaking images provided by this miracle of nature.  When I see dark clouds, I know they are preparing to feed and bathe the planet so I give thanks for those clouds too.  Like the experiences of life, clouds are ever-changing yet always full of something nourishing; beauty, delight or a much needed shower to cleanse, purify, and quench what thirsts and encourage growth.

A Miracle A Day, Day 49

cloudsTHOUGHT is the miraculous evidence of consciousness. I think, therefore I am.  Or, perhaps the opposite is true.  I am, therefore I think. THOUGHT is more than electrical impulses receiving and interpreting information. THOUGHT is a part of the creative process evident in all that takes shape and form.  Thoughts create our experiences.  Thoughts generate energy that can influence our feelings and behavior, and can even influence those around us.  Have you ever walked into a room and simply known there was an energy to the thoughts of the people in the room?  Thought generates an energy that can be felt, an energy that influences behavior, outcomes and experiences.  Sometimes the energy can almost be felt.  Imagine, if our thoughts were like the jet streams across the sky, creating a trail relative to the energy they carried.  Happy positive thoughts would leave a trail of light and puffy billows that skipped across the sky.  Angry, fearful and hurtful thoughts might leave a trail that was dense, heavy, and not so pretty.  Our thoughts may not be visible, but they do indeed create a stream of energy that enfolds our world.  Happy, loving, caring, nurturing thoughts – happy, loving, caring, nurturing earth.  Angry, judgmental hurtful thoughts … Well you get the picture. Let our thoughts be the miracle they are intended to be and create a network of loving energy encircling our earth.

idea.dreamstimefree_162221CREATIVITY is a miraculous aspect of being.  Everyone is CREATIVE and we are all creating all of the time.  It is our nature.  You may hear someone, perhaps yourself, saying “I haven’t a creative bone in my body.”  Well, bones are not particularly creative, but you are!  Every thought you think is creative energy in action.  You are created in the image and likeness of creation Itself and the process is infinite in nature.   Through CREATIVITY, we bring our ideas to life.  Through the CREATIVE process we give attention to the thoughts and ideas in our minds thus creating our experiences.  We may express our ideas through artistic endeavors, gardening, cooking, nurturing others, or simply taking action on them.  We are all CREATIVE, creating all of the time. The only question is what are we creating? Therein lies the choice and the miracle.

A Miracle A DAy, Day 37

Blue Sky Day

SKY, the blue dome which covers the earth of my perception is a miracle that takes form in my mind.  The SKY after all is not a dome at all.  Its domed shape is an illusion created by my finite view of what is infinite.  The brilliant blue of the SKY on a sunny day is a result of molecules scattering blue light from the sun. It gives us a sense of spatial balance and boundaries as it caps the earth we walk upon. And yet, in its ability to be a covering for our comfort and visual delight, it is a topless ceiling.  It is in fact the infinite ethers of space in which the planets and stars travel at unfathomable speeds. Like the SKY, there is a firmament in my mind that easily scatters the blue Light that represents Faith. The firmament in my mind an unbound boundary that allows me to be me, and at once, be one with the cosmic Christ. The SKY is a miracle within and without that I ponder with fascination and joy.

color pencils.dreamstimefree_218525ART; visual, musical, written and performing, all are a MIRACLE that allow one to express their innermost feelings, beliefs, ideals, pain, questions, wonderings, hopes and dreams in a way that lets others in.  Through the many forms of ART, we create openings to one another’s soul.  We catch a glimpse of the Divine through another’s eyes.  When we can see through another’s eyes, we reinforce the invisible network that is our connectedness in the whole of consciousness.  We are all artists, creating the masterpiece of our lives through our thoughts, our beliefs and our actions.  The palette we paint from is infinite in possibility and potential.  It is the wholeness of God allowing us to choose what we will express in each moment. Will we choose one color or frequency of light over another? Or will we combine a selection of colors, an array of harmonious thoughts and energies that lift us and others to a higher expression of the whole?  ART is a glorious and miraculous means of sharing the innermost Truth of beingness.  What will you paint next?
