SEASONS are a miraculous result of the constant movement of the earth. In the coldest, sloppiest days of winter I look forward to the warmth of summer. I even wonder what it might be like to live in a climate that doesn’t change as frequently as mine. And yet, the passing of seasons provides a rich experience of variety and rebirth. It reminds me that life is continually changing and unfolding. It reminds me that whatever SEASON may be occurring in my life, another is now unfolding. The wise and poetic author of the book Ecclesiastes, proclaims “ To every thing there is a SEASON, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” SEASONS change and it is a miracle that reminds us of the constant ebb and flow of life, that each experience has its time and yet another is always moving toward us. When it seems as though a SEASON of harsh and challenging conditions will never end, spring and summer are just around the corner.
